The first cables that will support the Nou Mestalla roof have already arrived
The prestigious German company PFEIFER STRUCTURES is responsible for manufacturing the bracing, radial and tension ring cables
The first cables that will support the roof of the new Valencia CF stadium have already been stockpiled at the Nou Mestalla. The prestigious German company PFEIFER STRUCTURES is in charge of producing them.
This industrial company from Memmingen (southern Germany) has extensive experience in the sector. A company with tradition, evolution and constant innovation, specialised in cable manufacturing, which has worked with Athletic Club (San Mamés), Hamburger SV (Volksparkstadion) and VfB Stuttgart (MHPArena), among many others.
Specifically, for the Nou Mestalla it is manufacturing bracing cables (which act as stiffeners for the pillar structure), cables for the tension ring (the inner part of the metal structure of the roof) and radial cables (which connect the tension ring with the outer compression ring). These cables will be installed in the coming months.
It is worth noting that the Nou Mestalla roof will weigh 4,800 tonnes and will be supported by 50 S355 steel pillars. In addition, on this roof Octopus Energy -Sustainable Founding Partner- will implement a photovoltaic installation, made up of solar panels with an intelligent system management, on its outer perimeter. A roof that will be a lung of green energy.
